Lest I inconvenience someone..
February 17, 2010Badhbh No Comments »So apparently my health issues are “unfair” and an inconvenience. Because I can’t schedule ahead of time when I’ll need time off. I’m sorry I couldn’t plan an illness more than 4 days in advance, and I’ll try to do better next time. It’s not fair to my co-workers when I have to take time off.
It’s not fair that I can’t go out and play with the kids in the snow for fear of moving something the wrong way and being out of work for a week.
It’s not fair that I worry about having seizures at work and embarrassing myself.
It’s not fair that I spend almost $100 a month in medication.
It’s not fair that I have more doctors than children.
It’s not fair that I have FMLA, and STILL have to catch shit about making a doctors appointment. Even ahead of time.
And finally, it’s not fair that “every week there’s something”. Yeah, you’re right, every week there IS something. I don’t like it either. I want to have a week where nothing hurts, nothing shakes, and nothing feels like a bad LSD trip.
I’ll get right to work on that.
